Kids,Sunday

Calling All Kidz Club

Activities, Activity Village, Kids, Carnival Field

Keep your little ones occupied with all sorts of ‘hands-on’ fun in the Kidz Paint Yurt! Pull up a pew and get stuck in, making jewellery, key-rings and being creative with pottery painting too! For the more energetic kids they also have bouncy animals, skipping ropes, hula hoops and much more!

Open all weekend for kids of all ages, there is plenty to make, see and do!

Sunday's Theme: Competition Time!

Activity Village, Sunday, Fancy Dress

SEA CREATURES AND MUSICAL FEATURES

It’s competition time and we want to see you get creative with this theme! From a Little Mermaid scene to the Spice Girls… a Saxophone-playing Octopus… an accordion-wearing Crab… the more inventive and crazily-interpreted, the better! At 12pm in the Chaos Corner tent, ringmaster Gacko will be ready to judge your fabulous attire! Prizes to be won!

The Magic Teapot

Activities, Activity Village, Kids, food Village

The Magic Teapot is a lovely little oasis hidden away in our Lakeside Field. With the fire always burning and the kettle always simmering, the friendly teapot crew will be ready to offer you a refreshing cup of tea and coffee while the musicians play and sing, encouraging all to join in!

A place to sit and soak up the atmosphere with a cuppa, simply watching and taking it all in, or becoming part of the action.

Silent Disco

Woodland Adventure, Activities, Activity Village, Adults, Kids, Teens

Shh! Camper Calling’s worst kept secret IS BACK!

Head into the woods and find your voice as our DJs battle it out for crowd participation. Infamous and a heck of a lot of fun for all the family, head on in for the quietest disco in town!

Please don’t hold on to the headphones throughout the weekend. This will make it a fairer experience for everyone; Headsets will then never become low and other people can make great memories too!
These headphones have no purpose outside of this specific silent disco either…so there’s really no need to take them. Return them after your disco session so the fun can roll on!

Thank you ❤️

Handmade Theatre

Activities, Activity Village, At the edge of the woods, Teens, Kids

Handmade Theatre have been with Camper Calling from the start and will be returning in 2023 with a new production!

Tell Me a Story: ‘Everyone has a story to tell and a memory to share. Unlock yours in this family adventure down memory lane, experience stories of the people, places and objects we hold dear.’

Having worked closely with care homes that support those living with Dementia over recent years, we have found that music, storytelling and objects have brought to life memories that have been stored away, held close. This project has allowed us to collect stories, from older and younger audiences to look at the journeys of our lives through creative exploration. What does childhood and growing up feel like to different people, at different times, in different places?

The show itself will see musicians, performers and storytellers come together with puppetry and song to tell these stories and unlock memories, suitable for all ages

The Tailormade

Music Act, Sunday

Having been crowned London’s best buskers, The Tailormade have gone from strength to strength supporting the likes of Madness, Olly Murs, Tom Jones and Jess Glynne to over 100,000 people.
2018 is already earmarked as their year, with a country wide university tour and the release of brand new music. Welcome to the Calling, lads!

Martha Hill is an alternative pop artist based in Newcastle upon Tyne. After growing up as one of six siblings on a remote Scottish peninsula, she left home at 17 and spent two years touring across Europe as a street musician. Honing her craft and sound, she relocated to north east England and hasn’t stopped touring since!

Georgia grew up listening to soul, motown, reggae and jazz, and it’s certainly distinguishable in the band’s style and performance. Having previously supported Squeeze, Georgia and the Vintage Youth have quite the fan base, and have worked alongside Neville Staple, Mo Pleasure of Earth Wind and Fire and more. The perfect blend of big band and theatrical sounds, they are sure to have you dancing in no time!

The Cosmics

Freshly Squeezed Stage, Music Act, Sunday

This garage punk trio from Birmingham have been making waves across the UK music scene since 2015 with their energetic performances and punk tunes. Getting plays on BBC Radio 1 as well as BBC 6 Music, these guys have been compared to the likes of The White Stripes as well as The Undertones and Blondie. Here to make some serious noise at Camper Calling, we can’t wait to see what they bring.

BETSY

Music Act, Sunday, Lakeside Stage

Although a fresh face to the music scene, Betsy’s voice will instantly transport you back in time with her soulful, classic and distinct tone. Already a regular on radio, her songs including Radio 2 Record of the Week Waiting, Wanted More and Lost & Found are nothing short of passionate, catchy and inspiring.

CC Smugglers

Music Act, Sunday, Lakeside Stage

From the streets to the stage, these buskers turned bellowing band are hijacking our main stage at Camper Calling. Mixing ghosts of American folk music, swing, jazz, country with modern hip hop, dubstep and house is no easy feat but somehow, CC Smugglers have got the whole sound down, whilst getting you guys up on your feet!
One not to miss!

The Atlantic Players

Music Act, Sunday, Lakeside Stage

You can expect nothing but good old Southern rhythm and blues with The Atlantic Players.
Having toured with some some of the greats including Geno Washington, Martha Reeves, Joe 'Pep’' Harris, members of ub40 and more, it’s just one big party when you catch these guys live !
