Accessibility at Camper Calling
At Camper Calling, we try to make our event as open and accessible to everyone. We know that everybody’s needs are different, and we’re always working to improve the experience for all visitors.
Site familiarisation
Camper Calling takes place at Ragley Hall, a private estate surrounded by open countryside.
The festival’s entertainment is spread across three main areas:
Lakeside Stage
Arrow Stage
Carnival Field
The festival campsites are located around these entertainment areas, providing convenient access to the arena and facilities.
Carers pass
The Accessible Campsite is located next to the Arrow Stage, at the top of the hill.
We understand that some visitors require support from a carer, so we offer a complimentary carers ticket.
To apply for a complimentary carers pass, please click here.
*If the carer is a young carer/child, an adult ticket must be purchased to qualify for the complimentary child carer ticket.
** The carer ticket will be the same ticket type as the order, but does not include a VIP upgrade.
Accessible Campsite
The Accessible Campsite is located next to the Arrow Stage, at the top of the hill.
A dedicated entrance provides direct access from the Accessible Campsite into the festival arena. This is intended to help reduce queuing and make it easier for visitors staying in the Accessible Campsite to enter the main festival area. Please note, you will still be subject to bag checks.
The Accessible Campsite is approximately 50m to the back of the Arrow Arena, 200m to the back of Lakeside Arena and 300m to the entrance of the Carnival Field.
To apply for Accessible Camping, please click here.
Ground Conditions
Camper Calling takes place on an open, green-field site. The festival grounds include natural slopes, inclines and uneven surfaces, so visitors should expect some areas that may be more difficult to navigate.
Although there are sheltered areas, including marquees and covered spaces, much of the festival takes place outdoors.
Ground conditions can also change depending on the weather. Heavy or extreme weather may result in:
Muddy or wet ground
Uneven or slippery surfaces
Churned-up grass
Areas that are more difficult to cross or navigate
The Camper Calling team will take reasonable steps to manage the site and minimise the effects of adverse weather. However, some changes to the ground may be unavoidable.
Planning Your Visit
If you have accessibility or mobility requirements, please consider the nature of the site and the possibility of changing weather conditions when planning your visit.
We recommend coming prepared for a range of outdoor conditions and allowing additional time to move between areas where necessary.
If you have specific accessibility requirements or are unsure whether the site will meet your needs, please contact the Camper Calling team before purchasing your ticket. They can provide the most up-to-date information about facilities, access arrangements and conditions.
Battery Charging
Limited 13-amp electrical sockets are available in the Accessible Campsite for charging mobility scooter batteries.
To ensure everyone has access to charging facilities, please:
Use the sockets only for charging batteries designed to be charged on a 13a supply.
Charge your equipment only when necessary.
Be considerate of other visitors who may also need to use the available sockets.
Additional Charging
You can also charge mobility scooters, batteries and other medical equipment at the Medical Tent, located in the Lakeside Field.
The Medical Tent is easy to identify by its large white peaked roof.
Important Information
Any equipment left at the charging facilities is left at the owner's risk. Camper Calling Ltd cannot accept responsibility for any loss of or damage to equipment.
Refrigerated Medical Supplies
If you need to keep medication or other medical supplies refrigerated during the festival, storage is available at the Medical Tent, located on the Lakeside Field.
Please make arrangements in advance by contacting us, using the form below.
The Medical Tent can be easily identified by its large white peaked roof.
Viewing Platforms
A Viewing platform is available on both the Lakeside Arena and Arrow Arena.
These platforms are reserved for visitors with access requirements and their carers, providing a dedicated space to enjoy performances with improved visibility and accessibility.
Please help us keep these areas available for those who need them by only using the viewing platforms if you have an access requirement or are accompanying someone who does.
Accessible Bar Serving Areas
The main bars on both the Arrow Arena and Lakeside Arena have lowered serving areas to make it easier for wheelchair users and visitors with access requirements to order drinks.
These lower serving points are available at the main bars on both fields.
Accessible Toilet Facilities
In addition to the accessible portaloo toilets located across the festival, wheelchair users can access Flash Flush free of charge. The facility provides ramped access and a hoist to support visitors who require additional assistance, and is located at the back of the arena between Arrow Arena and Lakeside Arena.
Please note that complimentary access is for wheelchair users only. Carers are not entitled to free access and will need to pay the standard charge if they wish to use the facilities. These do sell out, so it is recommended to purchase in advance.
Accessible Shower
We do not have showers in the accessible campsite due to water requirements, however standard showers are available between 400-500 metres from the accessible camp, located between Hamlet and As You Like It. The nearest wheelchair-accessible shower to the Accessible Campsite is located at the Medical Tent on the Lakeside Arena.
The Medical Tent can be easily identified by its large white peaked roof.
Quiet Space
We understand that spending a whole weekend at a busy music festival can feel overwhelming for some visitors.
If you need some time away from the crowds, noise or activity, we recommend taking a quiet walk through the gardens or visiting the house. These areas can provide an opportunity to slow down, take a break and enjoy a change of surroundings.
Please remember to take breaks whenever you need them and enjoy the festival at your own pace.
Additional Information
Please be aware that special effects such as strobe lighting, lasers and stage pyrotechnics may be used at anytime during performances across the festival weekend.
Mobility Scooter hire
Horizon Mobility offer short-term hire of off road wheelchairs, power chairs and mobility scooters. Simply book by giving them a call or using the form on their website. They will deliver the mobility scooter to the festival before you arrive, for you to collect from the Information Tent, located on the Lakeside Arena. Horizon Mobility will then collect the mobility scooter from the festival after the event. Mobility Scooters can be charged in the Accessible Campsite near the entrance to the Arena.
