We will be a sea of SUNSHINE on Friday when we’re all in yellow!

Whether you’re dressed as a Simpson or you’re a soul full of radiant energy, there will be yellow, brightness and happiness wherever you go. Your finest yellow garments are required on Friday, and hopefully the sky will reflect the crowd! Sun, sun, sun, here it comes…

Saturday Theme

Fancy Dress

Saturday is competition day and the theme is Mardi Gras! We will create our very own Rio Carnival in the Carnival field where, in the Chaos Corner tent at 5pm, outfits will be judged and prizes will be given! Show us your best interpretation of the theme!

The main event, however, will be our Mardi Gras parade. After the competition, the BoomDang drummers will lead us through Carnival field and the festival grounds for all to see and join in! Beads and feathers galore, parrots and rhinestone masks, purple, yellow, green and glitter wherever you look. Saturday at Camper Calling will have never looked so fabulous!

Reignmaker

Arrow Stage, Friday

Quickly rising up through the underground scene of their native Liverpool, passionate indie quintet Reignmaker have already established a distinctive style. They channel their youthful spirit and charismatic scouse personalities to create a sound that radiates an uplifting optimism. Combining swelling rock and roll textures with soaring vocal chorus’ and lyrics filled with a striking poignancy, their sound is one that is impossible to ignore.

Tipped by BBC Introducing, the band have quickly become one of the most hotly anticipated young bands in the North West and they are only just getting started! Catch them on the Arrow Stage, Friday afternoon!

Hello Friday night RAVERS! Your Friday theme is ‘Tight, Bright Neon Lights’. Think 90s rave with 80s fashion. The bigger, the bolder, the better. Night will fall, the DJs will take charge and your UV paint will illuminate the dance floor. Glow sticks at the ready, kiddos.

As the Ministry of Sound would say, Jungle. Is. Massive! Are you an explorer lost in the wilderness? Your favourite wild animal? Or a tropical palm looking absolutely fabulous in the sunshine? Fun for all the family. We can’t wait to see all you cool cats ‘n’ kittens in your Jungle attire!

It’s competition time and we want to see you get creative with this theme! From a Little Mermaid scene to the Spice Girls… a Saxophone-playing Octopus… an accordion-wearing Crab… the more inventive and crazily-interpreted, the better! At 12pm in the Chaos Corner tent, ringmaster Gacko will be ready to judge your fabulous attire! Prizes to be won!

Meet Gina Jane and Jacob Lobo, AKA GeeJay. A fantastic fuse of Soul and Jazz, the North London duo are set to usher in a fresh voice to the modern jazz era. Expect smooth saxophone skills from Jacob with incredible powerhouse vocals courtesy of Gina. One not to miss!

Fun, carefree indie, these boys are the sound of summer. With a mix of rock, pop and infectious guitar riffs, Bokito’s melodies are sure to be number one on your playlist.
Drawing inspiration from Queens of the Stone Age, Justin Timberlake and Jeff Buckley, their sound never sticks to a genre for too long whilst perfectly fusing together to create songs to make you tap your feet!

Regulars of the early/mid-’90s Camden pop scene, along with Britpop superstars Blur, Dodgy came with their infectious and goofy punk-pop likened to early The Who or The Stone Roses.

With seminal works such as “Staying Out For The Summer”, “If You’re Thinking Of Me”, and “Good Enough” on their hitlist, it’s time to travel back to the 90s!

Live performance has always been integral to the Dodgy experience, and it’s this approach that has helped them maintain a cult following for over 25 years. Nigel, Mathew, and Andy are working hard on their new album that we can’t wait to get in our ears later this year!

There’s no denying that Matt Bellamy has one of the most unique and recognisable voices in rock yet, somehow, Carl’s managed to recreate his tone, his swagger, and his musicianship with effortless ease. Team that with a pitch perfect rhythm section of drummer Chris and bassist Stu, you’ll be hard pressed to tell the difference onstage.

Wille and the Bandits

Wille and the Bandits bring a tight performance and instrumental virtuosity rarely seen within the live arena with a range of instruments getting stage time, sometimes even in the same song!

Listed as one of the top ten bands to see at Glastonbury 2014 by Radio 1, Wille and the Bandits will be at Camper Calling 2016 with their fresh approach to blues rock.

The Future Dub Project

An apt band name: The Future Dub Project is a hybrid of computing and dub power that creates progressive new music greater than the some of its parts.

Littered with subs and samples, The Future Dub Project effortlessly combine reggae, drum & bass, breakbeat and everything in between to create a truly vibrant live show and the perfect party vibe for Camper Calling 2016.

They seamlessly blend all the best bits of electronic and reggae music together and have one of the best rhythm sections I’ve ever seen – definitely one of my favourite things happening in the UK live music scene right now.

B O M B S

In B O M B S, Bristol has produced another in a long line of accomplished acts that fuse ethereal sounds with hip hop and electronic aesthetics. The band walk the trip-hop line loosely, dancing all over it and bringing an air of fun to the whole affair.

B O M B S will be bringing their eclectic and explosive live show to Camper Calling 2016.

Plastic Pantomime

The UK’s number one alternative/indie cover band, Plastic Pantomime have a stylish arsenal of tracks to get even the most dour heads nodding along. 

From classics by The Cure, Pulp and Blur to more contemporary offerings from the likes of Foals, The Futureheads and Mumford & Sons: Plastic Pantomime have got you covered.

They might even pull some songs from their just-as-brilliant “Not So Indie” playlist that lists classics by Wham!, Madonna and The Beatles amongst a myriad of others!
