Midlands-based band “OTTO AND THE DARK” aspire to put the Rock back in Indie.

Having played music together since their teenage years, Otto and the Dark is a 3-piece group that has spent 20 years of Monday night practices surfacing a diversely influenced style brimming with power and technicality.

“Otto and the Dark” combines dynamically clean and driving riffs with melodic vocals that house a lyrical undercurrent of angsty millennial love and fear. All of this is kept in balance with intricate beats and elaborate basslines that will keep listeners on their toes.

This band captures a golden age of indie, emo and rock, crediting the likes of Jimmy Eat World, Minus the Bear, Incubus, and Death Cab for Cutie as strong inspirations, whilst pushing the boundaries of genre to the precarious edges of distinction and individuality.

Following the release of its debut album ‘About 20 Years’ across all streaming platforms, “Otto and the Dark” is now looking to broaden its audience through new music ready and waiting to be performed and enjoyed.
